Cruisers
Our cruiser section embraces both sailing and motor yachts. Members yachts are listed in the handbook.
Club facilities
ISC offers berths for tenders on the shingle off the old jetty to the west with lines attached to the jetty and the chain on the shingle. Please contact the Sailing Manager if you would like one of these.
ISC also provides tenders on the main jetty for use of club members. However, these should not be taken from the vicinity of the club and must be returned as soon as possible. They are not to be left on your mooring for you to return to at some later time except by prior arrangement with the office.
There is also a launch service operated for members every day throughout the sailing season (End of March to Early November). Please contact the office on 01243 512400 or on channel P4 if you would like use this service.
Members yachts are encouraged to use the channel facing side of the T head. The end of the jetty is in deep water at LWS in excess of 2m. Water and electricity are available. Members can tie up for up to 2 hours, or more on request to the office. Yachts are not allowed to stay overnight as this is not allowed by the Conservancy rules. Double berthing is permissible if necessary.
In exceptional circumstances, the harbour office may, at their discretion, allow overnight mooring providing the ISC office agrees to it and the visitors overnight rate is paid to the harbour office in advance.
Rallies
Rallies are organised by the cruiser class captain (position currently vacant). Most recently, there have been rallies for motor yachts to restaurants around Chichester harbour and the Solent. If you are interested in this please contact Philip McDanell, Rear Commodore Cruising & Boating, in the absence of the cruiser class captain.
Rallies from Chichester are organised by the Emsworth Cruising Association. For more details please visit their website.
Racing
We currently do not run racing for yachts. However, the Chichester Cruiser Racing Club runs racing in Hayling Bay and the Solent and their programme can be found on their website.
