Itchenor Sailing Club has been an RYA Recognised Training Centre (RTC) since 2014. We provide quality sail training for young members on the lead up to ISC Junior Fortnight (JF). The training week provides the perfect opportunity for the Club’s Full or Taster Members to learn new and improve on existing sailing skills. Sailors are awarded RYA and ISC certificates for their achievements.

The training programme for Junior Training Week is tailored to meet the level of all children attending. The emphasis is focused on introducing basic sailing skills for beginners, improving confidence and inde-pendence on the water for intermediate sailors and developing racing skills to an advanced level.

Training is open to beginners through to experienced racing helms and crews in Mirrors, Toppers andFevas. There will be an emphasis on developing sailing independence and improving confidence on the water. For the more experienced sailor, there will be a focus on improving specific helming/crewing skills and the start of racing skills.

ISC Sailing Manager Ryan will be supported by a team of qualified RYA Instructors (Team Leaders and As-sistant Instructors) and experienced Assistant Sailors, all of whom are Itchenor Sailing Club members. The Assistant Sailors will be on hand to sail with less experienced helms and crews when necessary and on days when wind conditions are more challenging.

And most importantly… JTW provides lots of fun and excitement out on the water and the opportunity to make new friends! And are a great way for new members with children wanting to sail in the Mirrors, Toppers or Fevas classes at JF and to meet current, and similarly minded sailors of the same age.

A fee of £300 is payable which includes the one week course and lunch each day with a drink and snack on re-turn each afternoon.
