Itchenor Sailing Club is a lively, friendly, active sailing and racing club located in a beautiful setting in Chichester Harbour. We are proud of our heritage and have successfully developed the Club into one of the leading dinghy and keel boat sailing clubs in the UK.

From our jetties we run a comprehensive programme of weekend racing for a mixture of keel boats (Swallow, Sunbeam and X-One Design) and dinghies (International 14, RS800, RS200, Laser, International 420, Topper and Mirror dinghy - we have 100+ Mirrors on our jetties!). Additionally, annually, we host a range of Open Meetings for the majority of our dinghy classes.

For the cruisers amongst you, we offer a comprehensive cruiser programme that includes rallies and offshore cruises in company (link to our cruiser section by clicking here).

The Club's facilities include three launching slipways and two floating jetties with access at all states of tide to the Itchenor channel from a staging giving extensive berthing facilities for sailing dinghies and tenders. The wonderfully refurbished clubhouse provide accommodation for both members and visitors (click here to see accommodation rates), a bar and dining room. Food can be either formal, in the dining room, or taken informally outside on the lawn, enjoying spectacular views across the Itchenor channel to the Downs in the background.

The Club is proud of the emphasis that it puts on Youth sailing. ISC Youth sailors of all ages have had success at the highest levels of the sport, and most winters see many children training in both the RYA Squad and club generated programmes. If your children are interested in sailing - don't worry if they are complete novices. We have a full programme of training and racing that will involve and train them at a safe level. From that level they can take part in a variety of events that include Max Mirror Mission (two days of sailing in May), the Mirror Family Rally (fun on the beach and an overnight BBQ) and our flagship event, Junior Fortnight. Click here to have a look at our Mirror Class website.

Junior Fortnight is a two week racing and social event that is a MUST if you are 8 to 19 years old. Great, competitive racing coupled with a hectic social programme make this the teenage (and younger!) sailing and social event of the year!

All our classes have their own separate Class pages on this site that give a few more details on their activities. Please browse them.

in addition to our sailing programmes we have a comprehensive social programme that runs throughout the year. This includes parties, lectures, winter bridge, wine tastings, a fantastic New Year's Eve party and a range of other events.

Interested? As a Club we are keen to attract sailors who love keel and dinghy racing of all abilities to our Club. Don't have a boat? Not sure what your ability is? Don't worry - most of our classes run a crew list so you can try them out - and some have Open Days. We're friendly, competitive and, we feel, fun!
